Saturday, January 18th was the annual Theresa Fun Day at Farmingdale Lanes. Over 149 friends and family came out to support The Theresa Foundation. Beautiful Farmingdale Lanes has 48 lanes and The Theresa Foundation proudly packed half of the bowling alley to capacity. The youngest bowlers were 18-months-old, proudly using their dinosaur ramps and bumpers, and students and volunteers from The Theresa Academy of Performing Arts filled two lanes!
There were amazing raffle prizes (thanks to Laura DiBernardo, IDS Wellness, and Long Island Museum for great raffle donations) and the 50/50 raffle prize was over $1,000 (thanks to Marie Elena Puma – Re who sold a historic amount of 50/50 tickets)! Our 50/50 winner, Cathy Musk, graciously donated part of the winnings back to The Theresa Foundation. Children of all ages kept coming back to the bake sale table for bakery delights made by Edith Heinsohn, mother of Scott and Linda (TAPA students), and owner of Luscious Layers Cakes.
This annual event would never be the same without our dedicated supporters that make this day so successful each year. Thank you to the Jackson Family, the Eble Family, and the Einhart Family for attending each year and for bringing their amazing friends and families with them. And, of course, our heartfelt thanks goes to John LaSpina, Theresa Awards recipient and friend, who so graciously opens his business to us each year and allows us to hold our fundraiser there.
